Leap Frog
This simple arcade game provides some fun and a bit of challenge but could be better with a few improvements. You must use CNET’s download manager to obtain Leap Frog, but since the file is small anyway, the download speed likely will not be an issue. After a quick launch, we immediately ran into a problem wherein we couldn’t select items in the main menu. However, we easily remedied this by using the Shift key to make selections. Users who do not know this shortcut will probably think something is wrong, so we wished the developer had included some kind of note. Aside from that small bother, the game is fairly simple: You use the arrow keys to bounce your frog around on platforms and collect flies and other bonus items without being captured in stationary nets. If you’re captured, the bad guy (a French chef, appropriately) wins. We would have liked the abilities to play in full-screen mode and to assign keys, but for a free game, these shortcomings are easy to overlook. We recommend this game to folks who want to kill time playing a silly game without spending a cent.

WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 1.2
In Leap Frog, an evil French chef has to come up with a good recipe in two days or his cooking show will be canceled because of bad ratings–and the one thing he knows is that everyone loves boiled frogs. Use the arrow keys to make your cute little frog hop around and collect yummy bugs. Along the way, you also can pick up glowing yellow coins. Collect 10 coins to go to a bonus stage. Your goal is to continue enjoying those tasty bugs, but you have to avoid the evil chef.
