UC Browser for Java
Simplicity and speed are two important attributes that a mobile Web browser must have to let you browse Web pages efficiently. UC Browser not only has these two attributes, but some extra features that make it one of the better browser apps for Android devices.
The opening page of the UC Browser resembles the default Android Web browser, but the URL bar is at the top. However, unlike the default Android browser it is accompanied by a search bar and a voice command button. The browser supports multitouch gestures when controlling tabs, and not just when you are actually browsing the page. The voice command offers a more direct way of using its search functions as well as basic browsing capabilities. Tabs are easily accessible through a conveniently placed button beside the home button. If you want quick access to Web sites, the speed-dial function will allow the user to go to frequently visited sites with just the click of a button. As another plus, the UC Browser also features multilanguage support. In our tests, the browser worked very well with searching and navigating sites, but we did have a few issues with the real-time news feeds, which caused the app to shut down a few times.
Even with the minor glitches, if you want a mobile Web browser app that has the right balance of speed, functionality, and accessibility, UC Browser is definitely an app to consider.
